Transportation Employment Full-Time
Salary Cat. C, 6 hrs/day, $15.25/hr
Calendar Days worked: 181- Support
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Obeys all traffic laws.
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
- Reports undisciplined student to the proper authority.
- Keeps assigned bus clean.
- Keeps to assigned schedule.
- Performs proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
- Discharges students only at authorized stops.
- Exercises responsible leadership on district route assignments and school trips.
- Transports only authorized students.
- Reports accidents and completes required reports.
- Expected to use professional conduct at all times
- Fulfills Board Policy to exhibit dress and appearance that is neat, clean and orderly.
- Perform all duties assigned by the Director of Transportation.

Credentials: "B" C.D.L. with passenger endorsements and bus driver certificate. Meet and maintain State of Oklahoma School Bus Certificate and C.D.L. regulations and requirements.
Education: High school, GED or equivalent experience is required in lieu of high school degree.
Training or Experience Required: Experience with children preferred. Must be able to obtain CDL, certificate and have at least 60 minutes of training on the effects and consequences of prohibited drug use. Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
