Entry Level Welder/Fabricator

We are seeking a FULL-TIME employee that is driven, has attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the willingness to continually learn. A Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting senior fabricators with our custom chassis builds, shop organization and cleaning, assisting our Cage Kit department, participating in the manufacturing of Cage Kits, and assisting with filling customer orders. This is a position that provides on-the-job training. Welding certification is NOT required.

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year shop experience in any metalwork, automotive, or fabrication trade (welding, automotive, CNC, fabrication, body shop, ect)
- High school shop class, vocational schooling, and college courses relevant to the position can be used as experience.
Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with: metalwork, MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, building, automotive, CNC

Shift:
- Monday-Friday Day Shift 7am-3:30pm
- NO weekends
- NO major holidays
- NO mandatory overtime
Responsibilities: (We will train the right candidate)
- Measure, cut, and bend tubing for chassis
- Fulfill retail orders
- Component fabrication
- Notch tubing
- Pallet orders for shipping
- Shop organization and cleaning
- Assist lead fabricators with custom builds
- Operate shop equipment including but not limited to: shears, cold saw, band saw, pipe bender, power tools, welder.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Comply with all safety recommendations and use PPE as necessary
Qualifications/Necessary Skills:
- Applicants with prior welding experience may be asked to take a welding test
- Solid understanding of measurements, basic shop math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Experience with power tools

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs independently
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- This is a physically demanding position. Candidate must be able to stand, climb, stoop, crawl, sit on the floor, etc.
Pay is based on experience/skill.
