What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Moore Stephens Tiller LLC?
We are assisting a wonderful client in the Coastal Georgia area with their search for a CONTROLLER who will direct their internal accounting operations.
This individual will develop and maintain accounting policies as well as oversee all financial procedures and will report directly to the owners of the company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions including all billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accuracy, revenue recognition, and sales tax filings.
- Preparing monthly internal financial statements
- Monitor bank accounts on a daily basis. This will include deposits and weekly check runs.
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Interact with the companys external CPA for annual tax return preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- 5-8 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Candidates must have solid communication, technology, and analytical/problem solving skills
- Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
