This role involves loading and unloading materials, troubleshooting issues, conducting quality checks, and keeping detailed records. Operators must follow work orders, manage stamp inventory, and ensure proper machine functionality.
RATE OF PAY: $18 to $21
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Replace stamp rolls by connecting a new roll to the leftover one on the machine.
- Rethread the machine if the stamps break during production.
- Read and understand work orders, including codes and different stamp values.
- Keep an accurate record of stamp usage.
- Verify production counts at the start of each shift to ensure accuracy.
- Set up the stamp machine to run one or multiple stamps.
- Clean the belts and stamp rollers properly.
- Adjust the meter and understand different meter settings.
- Load templates and configure inkjet machines based on approved PDFs and instructions.
- Request and organize materials from the warehouse for the stamp area.
- Arrange materials as they move in and out of the stamp area.
- Correctly label returned materials according to company policy.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write in English and calculate basic math.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional bending
- Periodic stooping, pinching, and gripping
- Regular lifting of 15 to 25 lbs.
- Occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs. when handling large sized printed materials
