Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
- Set up and adjust machine and equipment for safe and efficient operation in the production process to meet work order specifications. This includes the start-up, operation, and adjustment to proper parameters involving close tolerances, maintenance, troubleshooting and cleaning of equipment.
- Reviews job tickets to determine tools, parts and materials necessary for machine changes and/or adjustments.
- Performs both standard and special machine adjustments to meet job specifications.
- Troubleshoots problems, repairs/replaces damaged and worn machine components.
- Assists in adjuster/operator training.
- Trainees will assist in performing changes, adjustments and repairs on production machines.
- Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment.
- Examines product for defects and ensures quality process is followed.
- Changes window rolls.
- Analyzes mechanical issues on assigned equipment and takes corrective action.
- Performs preventative maintenance inspections and ensures consistent quality production.
- Minimizes waste by ensuring all waste is properly segregated, weighed, recorded, and placed in the proper waste container.
- Assists machine operator in maintaining quality control and production requirements.
- Provides coverage for machine operator if necessary.
- Notifies shift supervisor of recurring equipment issues and any correction action taken.
- Maintains a hazard free, clean machine and work area to include sweeping, removing waste, etc.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Must be able to reason and do basic math.
- Must be able to read and communicate with speech and writing.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and use both hands and arms.
- Must be able to see clearly to examine envelopes for accuracy to ensure there are no flaws.
- Heavy Lifting is required.
- Must be able to lift over 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly. The ability to pull and push 10-100 lbs. is required.

- Near vision (20 ft. or less), Far vision (20 feet or more), and Micro vision (close inspection), are essential functions of the job. Depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision are also required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5-10 years previous experience is preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Minimal travel anticipated; may consist of auto and air travel Work may be performed under stressful conditions such as time deadlines.
- The work environment is loud and hearing protection is required.
- Heavy lifting is required.
- Work is repetitive in nature.
- Reasonable decision making skills are required to decide whether or not a machine should be shut down if problems occur.
- May be asked to use a pallet jack or operate a forklift.
- Hearing protection is required.
- Minor chemical splash hazard during cleaning.
- There are slight risks regarding burns, chemical splash, electrical shock, and impact hazards.
- Paper dust hazard, minor cuts, punctures, and abrasions are possible.
- Minor risk to repetitive motion injuries.
- May be subject to extreme cold, extreme heat, and a wet or humid environment.
- Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, and gases.
