Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Onsite Orlando, FL
Contract: 6 Months
Responsibilities:
- Basic Qualifications: Must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following four analytical fields of Statistics, Optimization, Econometrics, and/or Machine Learning.
- Achieve Business Goals and Objectives: Research and develop decision science models while serving as a consultant to various business units within The Walt Disney Company.
- Pursue Innovation: Conduct research on advanced analytical techniques and translate findings into practical, sustainable solutions for end users.
- Utilize Technical Expertise: Perform data collection, data mining, and build state-of-the-art decision science algorithms, tools, and systems.
- Drive Business Value: Model and analyze revenue management and pricing-related issues using mathematical, statistical, and simulation techniques.
- Communicate Effectively: Present scientific results and insights to business partners and stakeholders.
- Support Enterprise Initiatives: Contribute to a global, enterprise-wide mission by leveraging data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- General Computing: Python, Java, C, C , etc.
- Statistical Computing: R, SAS, etc.
- Scientific Computing: Julia, MATLAB, etc.
Required Education:
- Master s or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, or a related field.
