Network Engineer
Required Skills: VxLAN, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS
Location: Burbank, 4 days a week
Duration: 24 months
- Serve as a Tier 2 support for Systems, Media, Storage and Cloud Operations Engineers
- Experienced with Major Enterprise network in a 7x24x365 environment. Normal hours and business days apply, but must be available to work after hours, weekends and some holidays as well as providing L3 on-call support on a rotation basis will be required.
- Experience working on virtualized network environments (overlays)
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible or Terraform
- Strong hands-on support of large WAN, LAN and MAN environments
- Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment (Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Brocade, Palo Alto, F5, Infinera, Ciena)
- Working experience with Public Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure and/or GCP)
- Experience implementing/maintaining monitoring and alerting for production systems
- Network theory and services (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, 7 layers of OSI, DNS, DHCP)
- Mid-level expertise with VXLAN, STP, ISIS, BGP, EVPN and MPLS
- Networked Storage technologies (NAS, SAN, Clustered, Tape)
- I/O technologies (Fiber Channel, InfiniBand, SCSI, SATA, SAS)
- Network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, transport gear)
- Local and Networked File Systems (NFS, SMB, DFS, NTFS)
- Video streaming theory, standards and concepts
- Exceptional advanced troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of Network Security principals and best practices
Education
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Certifications (JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIA-SEC, ACE-A, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, BIG-IP, DDI Professional)
