What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Well Driller position at Moores Well Drilling Inc?
Water well drillers in Florida operate drilling rigs and equipment to drill wells for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural uses. They may also perform well inspections and abandonments, and maintain drilling documentation. Here are some of the responsibilities of a water well driller:
- Drilling Use rotary or cable tool drilling equipment to drill into the earth and tap into groundwater.
- Monitoring Monitor drilling systems and equipment, and perform pumping tests to assess well performance.
- Supervision Supervise drill crew work activities, and motivate the crew to optimize the rig's operational efficiency while keeping safety in mind.
- Documentation Record drilling progress and maintain daily project reports, and keep records of each well. In most states, they also provide copies of these records to the government.
- Maintenance Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rigs and equipment, and clean drill rigs and support trucks.
- Other tasksAssemble and disassemble equipment, shovel, trench, plumb, load and unload trucks, and communicate with project owners and other team members.
Water well driller will need to work long hours in natural elements, need a driver's license and personal transportation. Some job listings may require experience drilling, knowledge of Florida Rule Chapter 62-532, F.A.C., and a rotary machine with a 4x6 mud pump
Requirements:5 or more years drilling residential / commercial water wells.
CDL Drivers License is a plus but not required.
