Job Summary
The person in this position works under general supervision to observe and control the behavior of students and non-students; to provide for the supervision and protection of students, personnel, property and equipment on a school campus. Primary responsibilities of the position are to :
- Assists with the development and implementation of a program, working plan and schedule which meets the needs of the preschoolers and their families; implements a culturally and linguistically appropriate learning environment for preschoolers;
- Assists with planning, implementing and evaluating indoor and outdoor environments, activities and routines in the following curricular areas : art, literature and language, dramatic play, water / sand play, blocks and construction, manipulatives, puzzles and games, music, computers, and science;
- Substitutes for the Child Development Specialist in his / her absence by carrying out all programmatic instructional plans and routines; supervises children in the classroom, on the playground, on the school campus, on field trips, when entering and leaving the center, and during fire and earthquake drills;
- Understands child development and the needs of the developing preschool child; assists teach with development assessment, learning goals and objectives of all children; implements activities to facilitate each child's attainment of his / her specific goals and objectives;
- Assists in developing and implementing conflict management and problem solving strategies with children; implements positive discipline techniques at all times;

The written test will be given Monday, August 26, 2024 at 9 : 30 am or 2 : 30 pm (picture ID required). Late arrivals will not be admitted for testing. No cell phones, no calculator.
