Paraeducator TK - WC (105-25)

Assist classroom teacher in the overall education, guidance, management, academic assessment, instruction, and care of students. Assist teacher with clerical and other non-instructional duties. • Assist the classroom teacher in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students; • Assist with planning and preparation of activities, equipment and materials; • Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior; • Assist in providing a safe learning environment; • Assists and guides students by providing appropriate role modeling, emotional support, patience, and a friendly and engaging attitude. • Provide reteaching to individuals or small groups of students after teacher-directed instruction; • Conduct learning exercises with small groups of students. Must attend up to 10 hours of mandatory training over summer. Training Dates TBD High School Diploma or GED
