Position Title : Associate Counsel

Classification : Exempt

Position Status : 12-Month Fixed-Term, Full Time

Reports To : Group General Counsel (In-House)

Direct Reports : None

Role Objectives : Reporting to Group General Counsel, this role is responsible for the provision of legal support and advice to the Moose business.

Qualifications :

Law degree required.

Experience of 2-5 years post admission required.

Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.

Responsibilities :

Litigation support including :

liaise with external lawyers to ensure case runs smoothly

collation and management of discovery and evidence

record keeping of electronic and hard copy filing of documents

legal and administrative support to external lawyers for filing various legal documents

respond to all case-related queries

conduct research and gather information for legal cases

prepare reports and summaries for legal teams

manage timelines

assist in the preparation of discovery responses and deposition material

assist in maintenance of contracts database (Conga)

Assist in drafting and reviewing :

distribution contracts

licensing contracts

contractor agreements

new vendor contracts terms & conditions of trade

all other contracts entered into by the business

NDAs

General legal advice to the business.

Work Hours :

8 : 30am – 5 : 30pm, Monday to Thursday

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones. Moose also provides flexible working options.

Salary Band : USD $150,000 - $175,000

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery.

Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Light to moderate lifting is required.

Regular, predictable attendance is required.
