As the Baker/Pastry Cook, you will prepare and oversee the creation of excellent quality desserts while adhering to the Moose's Tooth restaurant's pars and recipes. The Baker/Pastry Cook will assist in developing specials and new dessert recipes and cater to special events as assigned. The Baker/Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Moose's Tooth restaurant. Essential Functions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
- Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Moose’s Tooth
- Create and fulfill par levels
- Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
- Monitor and promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
- Be a creative contributor to dessert specials
- Be responsible for costing recipes (software is available)
- Ensure completion of all opening, closing, and side duties
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
- Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respe
