Position Overview:
The State of North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an expert Epic Clinical Project Manager to lead the implementation and transition of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role is critical for modernizing clinical applications across state-operated healthcare facilities and ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of Epic EHR implementation for Clinical modules.
- Oversee modules including IP ClinDoc (Secure Chat, Rover), Case Management, Orders, Behavioral Health, Long-Term Care, Willow IP & Ambulatory, Inventory, EpicCare Link, Wisdom, MyChart, Healthy Planet, and Bugsy.
- Coordinate with program directors, project managers, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Maintain scope, schedule, and project quality for the Clinical EHR build team.
- Engage and align business community with technical teams.
- Mentor team members and communicate project priorities and progress.
- Troubleshoot and resolve implementation and system integration issues.
- Act as a liaison between clinical teams and Epic implementation staff.
- Document progress and maintain State CIO and DHHS PMO reporting using MS Project Server.
- Drive user training, support go-lives, and manage stakeholder expectations.
