Microsoft Purview ArchitectPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview Architect to design and implement robust data governance and compliance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 Purview, data classification, compliance policies, and risk management strategies.Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions to align with organizational data governance and compliance requirements.
- Data Classification: Develop and maintain classification schemes to ensure the proper handling of sensitive data.
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement and manage DLP policies to prevent unauthorized data access and sharing.
- App Governance: Establish and enforce application governance policies within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- AIP File Scanner: Configure and manage Azure Information Protection File Scanner for data classification and protection.
- Insider Risk Management: Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies using Microsoft Purview tools.
- Purview Data Map: Create and maintain a comprehensive data map to provide visibility into data assets and their relationships.
- Collaboration: Work with IT, security, and compliance teams to align solutions with business objectives.
- Documentation: Produce technical documentation, design blueprints, and operational procedures.
- Training & Support: Educate stakeholders on Microsoft Purview solutions and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data governance, data protection, and compliance.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 Purview, DLP, Data Classification, App Governance, AIP File Scanner, and Insider Risk Management.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations such as NIST and HIPAA.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Purview Data Map implementation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Compliance Manager.
- Ability to stay updated on emerging trends in data governance and compliance.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
