We are looking for an Nurse to join our TEAM!
Full time, 40 hours Monday - Friday 6:45a - 3:15p, e/o weekend
Essential Job Functions
Utilize the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the resident's care, as evidenced by client/staff observation.
Assess the resident; collect and document the resident's current health status and medical history.
Complete and/or review Admission Data Record as defined by policy. Make accurate and ongoing assessment of resident's status and respond appropriately.
Evaluate; perform ongoing assessment and revise plan of care based on new data and resident's condition.
Document accurate and ongoing assessment of resident status. Document resident care which reflects nursing intervention, resident response to care provided, resident needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goals. Documentation includes evidence of appropriate resident/significant other teaching, and the understanding of these instructions is noted in the medical record.
Communicate with the physician regarding resident needs, the nursing assessments, and recommendations on a daily basis, and as needed, as evidenced by client feedback and Operations Coordinator observation.
Perform direct resident care, utilizing established procedures, policies, and standards as evidenced by client/staff feedback and Operations Coordinator observation.
Administer medications according to policy and procedure.
Administer IV's according to policy and procedure.
Observe and document resident's response to pertinent medications.
Provide personal resident care to provide comfort and well-being to the resident, acknowledging physiological and psychological needs.
Plan/Implement; set priorities for nursing action in a logical sequence according to resident's needs and formulate a plan of care by the appropriate selection of Nurse Practice Standards. (UOC's) The Plan of Care is initiated on resident admission based on all aspects of the initial assessment. Plan includes physiological, psychosocial, and environmental factors: resident/significant other education and resident discharge planning.
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
Previous experience in patient care setting preferred.
Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
