What You'll Do
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with Mooseheart's mission and state requirements
- Lead and supervise faculty, staff, and support teams
- Monitor curriculum, instruction, and student progress across Pre-K through 12th grade
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and DCFS licensing
- Collaborate with leadership to maintain a safe, engaging, and student-centered learning environment
- Manage disciplinary practices, communications, and educational planning
- Oversee faculty development, evaluations, and school-wide performance improvement
- Serve as a key member of the senior management team at Mooseheart
- Master's degree in Education
- Illinois Type 75 Administrative Endorsement (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in school leadership, faculty supervision, and educational program development
- Strong knowledge of compliance, student support services, and instructional best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, care, and strategic vision
- Familiarity with DCFS standards and/or working with vulnerable youth populations is a plus
- Full-time, exempt position
- Supervises Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, faculty, secretaries, and aides
- Participates in budget development and oversight
- Leads school events, improvement initiatives, and external partnerships
