Description
The eCommerce Sales Manager will report directly to the VP of Merchandising & eCommerce and work closely with our IT and Merchandising Departments and third-party contractors.
This position is responsible for driving online sales growth and optimizing customer experiences. The eCommerce Sales Manager is crucial in developing and implementing effective online retail strategies, analyzing sales and traffic data, and improving and expanding online business.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement comprehensive eCommerce strategies and plans aligned with business objectives to drive online sales growth.
· Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and drive business growth throughout the company.
· Utilized industry best practices, emerging technologies, and digital marketing techniques to optimize the eCommerce website’s performance.
· Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that enhance the eCommerce experience.
· Analyze data, including web analytics and customer insights, to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
· Optimize product categories, filters, and search functions to improve customer experience and sales.
· Optimize the eCommerce platform for PC and mobile, ensuring smooth navigation, fast load times, and metric-increasing aesthetics.
· Utilize customer data analysis and A/B testing to identify patterns, preferences, and pain points and make data-driven improvements.
· Ensure the website meets security standards, is ADA compliant, and properly protects customer data.
· Ensure a seamless online customer experience by identifying and solving potential pain points in the shopping journey.
· Collaborate with the digital marketing team and/or third-party contractors to optimize paid search, SEO, email campaigns, and social media strategies to drive traffic and sales.
· Work with IT and development teams to implement website enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues.
· Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly key performance metrics, including but not limited to sales performance, page views, website traffic, conversion rates, and average order value.
· Prepare regular reports on the eCommerce platform's performance, including key metrics, sales trends, consumer behavior and reviews, and campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, eCommerce, or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years experience in eCommerce management, focusing on retail or direct to consumer (D2C), preference in the furniture or home goods industry.
· Strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms, technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
· Proven experience in developing and implementing plans to improve the customer experience.
Skills:
· Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
· Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.
· Proficiency in using eCommerce platforms.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external parties and vendors.
· High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams) required.
