Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee and manage our financial operations. The Financial Controller will lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support to achieve accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including account analysis and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly SOX and IFRS standards.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management review.
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the budgeting process, providing insights into financial performance against targets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in construction accounting or as a Financial Controller in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in account analysis, account reconciliation, and financial management practices.
- Experience with various accounting software applications; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
