We are a family owned and operated manufacturing and general contracting company in Grand Junction, CO. We are looking for a Sales Professional who is a self starter and has the ability to work independently and with a small team of people. The Sales Associate will work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions; also promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. A successful Sales Associate stays up to date with our product features and maintains our store's visual appearance to high standards. Ultimately, the duties of the Sales Associate are to achieve excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assess customer's needs and provide assistance and information on product features
Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
Actively seek out customers in store and yard
Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
Receive and ship inventory, and Manage inventory
Place and fulfill orders
Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
Build productive trust relationships with customers
Comply with inventory control procedures
Write up sales orders / contracts and maintain Purchase Order list
Qualifications
Knowledge of the construction world is REQUIRED
On the job construction experience is a HUGE PLUS
21 years of age or older
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Proficiency in English
Strong computer skills and Math aptitude
Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
A valid Driver's License and ability to meet our driving record requirements
The ability to demonstrate Company Values of Innovation, Teamwork, Ambition and Integrity
Familiarity with inventory procedures
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus
Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs
Possess industry experience and knowledge in the local market
