What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Reviewer position at Morae?
We are currently seeking experienced Document Reviewers to join our team for a 4-month contract project. This hybrid role is based in New York, with at least one of the reviewers required to work on-site one day per week. The focus of the project will be commercial document review, so prior experience with commercial contracts is essential. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong background in Commercial Contract Review or Commercial Attorney/Doc Review experience.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze commercial contracts and other legal documents with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Independently perform contract review using provided checklists and guidance.
- Identify and flag any issues or discrepancies within the commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and high standards of review.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to client policies and procedures.
- Attend training sessions to familiarize yourself with project-specific requirements.
- Work independently and meet review deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Commercial Review Experience is a must, with preference for candidates with prior Commercial Attorney/Doc Review experience.
- Strong proficiency in contract review and understanding of commercial contracts.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with document review tools and platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work hybrid, with at least one day on-site per week in New York.
