What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Pool position at Moraga School District?
DEFINITION: Clean and maintain the assigned school facility in a clean, orderly, and secure manner under the supervision of the Principal or other assigned administrator and the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance using the standard district procedures and techniques in order to provide students with a safe, comfortable, attractive, clean and efficient place in which to learn, interact and develop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
•Cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in custodial work
•Requirements of maintaining buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
•Safe practices related to cleaning methods and procedures
•District cleaning practices and procedures
•Laws and procedures related to use, storage, and disposal of chemicals, trash, and waste materials
•Injury prevention program
Ability to:
•Efficiently and effectively use cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment
•Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
•Understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
•Relate well to students, staff, parents, and the public
•Establish and maintain cooperative working relations with others
•Perform repetitive tasks
•Lift, carry, and push heavy objects, furniture, and equipment; climb stairs, ladders, and ramps; walk or stand for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment; bend at the waist; reach overhead and horizontally.
