Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious VAC Truck Operator and Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and be responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to perform various tasks, including hydro-excavation, potholing for boring, and stormwater system cleaning. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VAC Trucks: Safely operate vacuum trucks to perform hydro-excavation, sewer line maintenance, and stormwater system cleaning.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks on vacuum trucks to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job logs, maintenance reports, and safety checklists.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- CDL Required: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience: Proven experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check.
