Duties
Under the supervision of the Youth Career Connections Program Manager, the part-time Business Services Specialist will assist with the implementation of the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) to conduct outreach, job placement and job retention support services for youth participants in Career Connections.
The Business Services Specialist will conduct assessments, provide initial and on-going career counseling to program participants and other duties as assigned.
The Business Services Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree in social services, counseling, education, human resources, business, marketing, or a related area.
One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in workforce development, job placement, human resources development, educational / vocational training, or counseling / guidance.

- Knowledge of unemployed and low-income population served through program.
- Well-developed organizational skills.
- The ability to analyze program performance and seek strategies to meet performance criteria.
- Experience in networking, job services resources, and creating employer relationships.

- Some travel may be required for program meetings, conferences, etc.
