Job Title : Production Supervisor

Pay Rate : $48,000 / year

Location : Indianapolis, IN

Job Duties :

Effectively work and communicate with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity
Maintain a safe work environment
Schedule production for the department and meet production requirements
Coordinate requirements and schedules with other departments
Supervise up to 30 production hourly employees
Adjust work force based on workload
Troubleshoot and solve production problems
Evaluate and improve production efficiency
Follow company policy and procedures (safety, quality, productivity, discipline, order, human resources, and continuous improvement)
Some extended hours & weekends as necessary
Drive & implement improvement & lean initiatives

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED

3 years' experience in a supervisory role preferably in manufacturing

Proficiency in basic Math skills

Excellent communicator, both verbally and written

Mechanically inclined

Knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment a plus

Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO9001)

Good Decision-making skills

5-S & Lean Manufacturing experience a plus

Proficiency using measurement Tools (i.e. tape measure, digital calipers, etc.)

Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Must submit to a drug screening and background Check
