Construction / Maintenance Technician
Moran Logistics is looking to add a Construction / Maintenance Technician to the Watsontown, PA-based team. As a Construction / Maintenance Technician, your workday will vary from one to another, with various responsibilities and functions.
The Construction / Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing miscellaneous repairs and maintenance tasks at all Moran Logistics warehouse facilities. In addition to maintaining existing Moran Logistics facilities, the Construction and Maintenance technician will also be actively involved in the construction of new Moran Logistics warehouse facilities. Moran Logistics is looking for an individual who has a general working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Troubleshooting and repairs on all facilities, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Working with a variety of machines and equipment, such as hand and power tools
- Heavy equipment operation – such as bulldozer, hydraulic excavator, aerial man lifts, construction forklifts and more
- Ensures all company-owned equipment and tools are maintained and stored in appropriate working conditions.
- Performs minor renovations and repairs to Moran Logistics facilities.
- Assists in snow removal via the use of Moran-owned snow plow equipment
- Prioritize and manage work orders via the online Moran Logistics Maintenance portal (accessed via the web and on a smartphone based application)
- Fabricate and install fixtures, equipment, and structures as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment at all times
Requirements:
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical
- Ability to perform strenuous lifting, pushing pulling.
- Climb ladders, and able to climb in and out of equipment
- Have a valid driver's license with a clean record
- Able to work independently or with a team
- Must be reliable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is not required but encouraged
