We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated Nursing Scheduler to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring optimal staffing levels and maintaining smooth operations in our skilled nursing facility.
Job Description:
As the Nursing Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating the nursing staff schedules to ensure that there is adequate coverage at all times. You will work closely with nursing leadership and other departments to monitor staffing needs and make real-time adjustments as necessary. Your ability to communicate effectively and stay organized will be key in delivering high-quality patient care. This is a Per Diem, or as needed, position. The role of this position will be to fill in when our Full Time Nursing Scheduler is out of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage nursing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for each shift.
- Monitor employee availability, time-off requests, and attendance.
- Coordinate with nursing leadership to adjust schedules based on staffing needs, holidays, and unforeseen absences.
- Communicate schedule changes and staffing updates to nursing staff in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of nursing hours and attendance.
- Address scheduling conflicts and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, industry regulations, and labor laws.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling or human resources is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations and staffing requirements is a plus.
Salary : $16 - $18
