Job Summary:
More Than Pickleball is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our facility. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the club, providing excellent customer service, and fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere for our members and guests.
Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Assist the administration team in overseeing daily operations, including court scheduling, facility maintenance, and equipment management.
- Manage court reservations and ensure efficient court utilization.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility.
- Assist with inventory management, including retail items, snacks, and drinks.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
Member and Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with membership management, including processing applications and renewals.
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Actively promote MTP programs and events.
Event and Program Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of leagues, tournaments, clinics, and social events.
- Manage event registrations and coordinate logistics.
- Assist with the organization and facilitation of open play sessions.
- Support the promotion of MTP programs and events through social media and other channels.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record keeping.
- Generate reports and assist with financial management tasks as needed.
- Assist with staff scheduling and training.
- Communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or sports management role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Knowledge of pickleball is a plus, but not required.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
