The Morehead City Marlins (mhcmarlins.com) are one of the most successful teams in the Coastal Plain League which provides collegiate players the opportunity to play competitively in a wood-bat league during the summer months in front of professional scouts, while also providing the local community with an affordable summer entertainment destination everyone can enjoy.
The Marlins play at Big Rock Stadium which is undergoing renovations this off season for the 2025 season.
The Marlins organization has developed a program that prepares its staff for a career in sports. We help our staff succeed in their career objectives by preparing for and learning from actual situations our staff encounters at the ballpark which are discussed and experienced daily.
Here's what we're looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Start date May 19th through approximately August 12th.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week.
- Must work all 26 home games and potential playoff games during the 2025 season.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and cook food items such as burgers, hot dogs, fries, and other ballpark menu items.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling, cooking, and storage of ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking station throughout the game.
- Work efficiently to keep up with high-volume orders during peak game times.
- Restock cooking supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Communicate with runners to fulfill orders quickly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
- High School level
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple task
- Ability to work long hours, evenings and weekends
- Thorough understanding of the rules of baseball
