What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine AC Technician position at Morehead Marine Services?
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and proficiency with marine AC systems. This role requires a commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair various problems one would encounter working with marine AC systems.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair AC systems on boats.
- Diagnose issues with AC equipment and related systems, then perform necessary repairs or replacement.
- Perform annual PMs on customers boats.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including parts used and time spent on job.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all service activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following skills:
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems.
- Experience with boats and other marine systems in general is a plus, but not necessary.
- Previous work as a service technician preferred.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, EPA 608 license.
- Valid drivers license for driving van to/from the job.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
