The Financial Aid & Scholarships department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Financial Aid Counselor/Analyst. The anticipated start date is May 1, 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Financial Aid Counselor/Analyst provides day-to-day analysis and processing functions to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial aid. The Financial Aid Counselor/Analyst is responsible for analyzing, awarding, reporting, and reconciliation of various financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Counselor/Analyst must be familiar with university, state, and federal financial aid regulations and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated experience in customer service and problem solving. Must have ability to analyze and interpret data. Experience and technical expertise with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, integrated information systems, and associated hardware. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree preferred. Financial Aid, Student Services, Student Account, or related background preferred.

Organizational Relationships
Reports to the Assistant Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships. The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is a part of the Division of Student Success. Communication with various other university personnel frequent. The relationship with the Office of Enrollment Services is especially necessary.
