What are the responsibilities and job description for the Defensive Line Coach position at Morehouse College National Alumni Association?
The Assistant Coach for a Division II program in the sport of football will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful program. The Defensive Line Coach is responsible for the development of Defensive Backs and is the primary recruiter for the Defensive Line Coach position for a Division II program in the sport of football. A focus of this position will be on the use of independent judgment and discretion in the identification and recruitment of prospective student-athletes, their awarding of athletics scholarships, their teaching and skill development of those student-athletes during their athletic and educational tenure at Morehouse College, and in the extensive daily administrative operations of their respective sport program. In addition, the Assistant Coach will be evaluated on the extent to which he/she provides each student-athlete a positive, meaningful, educational experience through athletics. The Defensive Line Coach is also expected to execute other program related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Candidate must be committed to student-athlete academic progress. Candidate must comply with NCAA, SIAC, and Morehouse College rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of Coaching Experience
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education/Experience Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Experience in a Division II football program or High School. Prior experience in a Coordinator Role. Proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes. Experience in a diverse environment. Excellent organization and communication skills.
