Job Summary:
The RN Operations Manager is a leadership role that oversees the day-to-day
operations of the clinic and reports to the Director of Clinical Services. This position
combines clinical expertise with management skills to ensure efficient, high-quality
patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management:
- Oversee the scheduling and staffing of nursing personnel to ensure optimal patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff, ensuring a competent and motivated workforce.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the nursing department, including patient complaints and staff disputes.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and efficient healthcare delivery system.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and operational efficiency.
- Participate in quality measure activities to continuously improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
4. Staffing Cost Containment Strategies:
- Implement and oversee staffing cost containment strategies to maintain financial efficiency without compromising the quality of care.
- Analyze staffing needs and adjust schedules to optimize resource utilization and reduce overtime costs.
5. Patient Care:
- Monitor patient care for quality assurance, evaluating nursing interventions and outcomes, and implementing improvements as needed.
- Address and resolve any patient care issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required, bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) a plus.
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
