It requires calibrating customers equipment to the latest ASTM and ISO standards. This means following Morehouse procedures, quality programs and adhering to the beliefs and core values that have built Morehouse over 100 years into what it is today. You will gain experience to use in the calibration of a range of force measuring devices and indicators on a variety of calibration machines of varying capacities from less than 1 pound up to 2,000,000 pounds of force. You will be part of a fast-paced work center that will challenge you on a daily basis to be the best you can be. You must have a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and the ability to work with a team of technicians to solve problems and learn every day to provide our customer with the best quality product in a timely manner.Essential Job Duties : Calibrate force and torque measuring equipment according to all applicable standards and procedures. Validate calibration results to determine if equipment is in or out of tolerance while ensuring equipment and reports meet our quality standards and make adjustments as needed. Prepare and verify calibration certificates for final approval. Use a weekly workload schedule to meet production expectations ensuring timely service to the customer. Document any abnormal condition and determine level of severity for reporting to quality and the customer. Determine proper adapters and fittings to use for setting up equipment in calibration machines and ensure all adapters are stored and maintained correctly. Use computer programs to run automated calibrations as appropriate. Qualifications and Requirements for this position : High school diploma. Good mechanical knowledge. Strong math and analytical skills a must. Must be able to work independently or as a team member. Strong organizational skills. Good work ethic and time management. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Customer service experience a plus. Desire to learn new skills. Ability to multi-task. Mechanical ability and knowledge. Goal-oriented and highly motivated individual is preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements : Work is primarily indoors May experience occasional exposure to distracting noise levels Work in shared office spaces near others Requires continual walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Climbing steps and using step stools on a daily basis with occasional use of step ladders. Must be able to lift 50 pounds with occasional heavier lifting using the assistance of team members or overhead cranes and lifting devices.
