What are the responsibilities and job description for the SpEd Paraprofessional - ASL Certified position at Morehouse Parish School District?
POSITION: SpEd Paraprofessional with American Sign Langauge (ASL) certification
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be highly qualified as set forth by NCLB Section 1119.
Must provide evidence of training and proficiency in american sign language, and has had experience working with deaf students.
Eligibility Checklist:
1) Passed the Para-Pro Assessment with a passing score of 450 or better, OR
2) Completed two years of full time study (48 semester credit hours) from a state
approved or regionally accredited institution of higher learning, OR
3) Earned an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Appied Science Degree
from a state-approved or regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
If the applicant has college credits, he/she should have the following:
*3 hrs. of English Composition
*6 hrs. of English/Reading
*6 hrs. of Mathematics
