Patient Scheduler (OB-GYN Clinic)

We are looking for an excellent customer service professional to join our centralized scheduling team. Previous healthcare and/or scheduling experience preferred.

This position works on-site. Full-time or part-time candidates considered; minimum 30 hours per week. Flexibility needed to support clinic hours; 7:30am-6pm Monday-Thursday, and 7:30am-4:00pm Fridays. No nights, weekends, on-call, or holidays. Moreland OB-GYN is known for its positive culture. Summary: This position is the start of the patient experience and an integral part of the care team. Responsible for answering incoming phone calls for appointment scheduling. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff.

Key responsibilities:

1. Assists patients in scheduling a variety of appointment types.

2. Monitors follow up appointment work queues.

3. Oversees providers schedules and makes changes when necessary.

4. Sends necessary paperwork and information to patients for appropriate appointment types.

5. Enters patient insurance and demographics in computer system.

7. Communicates with the Business Office regarding insurance coverage and outstanding balances.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

· Effective communication skills: the ability to provide empathy and be supportive to patients

· Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills required; EPIC software preferred

· Attention to detail and great organizational skills

· Independent, self-motivated, and flexible

· Ability to adapt to change and multitask

· Experience in customer service environment; healthcare preferred
