Moreland School District is looking to hire an exceptional Office Assistant to help with the organization and daily operations.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure in a school district
Examples of Essential Duties: The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
the following:
- Ensures compliance with federal and state law;
- Monitor and communicate monthly timelines to ensure deadlines are met;
- Sends required parent notification letters;
- Coordinates required state data submissions and other compliance reviews;
- Ensures the submission of accurate reports at the district, state, and federal levels;
- Sends timely communication to staff regarding compliance-related issues;
- Develops a working knowledge of all local, state, and federal databases to ensure accuracy
of student records;
- Run reports and share data with teachers and administrators;
- Monitors program numbers, teacher caseloads and class sizes, in alignment with the
teacher collective bargaining agreement and state and federal requirements;
- Ensure accuracy of student home language in local and state databases;
- Provides direct support to school site staff;
- Assist in establishment of and coordination of statewide testing using TOMS data system.
- Review and verify accuracy and completeness of various documents and database records;
investigate and correct database errors on student records;
- Establish and maintain filing systems; process and evaluate various forms and
applications as needed.

- Attend and facilitate meetings on state-wide testing and CALPADS requirements;
- Maintains files and understanding of all CDE testing, standards, assessment and
accountability memos and directives.
- Maintains, processes, and files documents, and reports.
- Communicate with personnel and outside vendors to exchange information and resolve
issues or concerns.
- Office Responsibilities:
o Creates and/or maintains physical and electronic student files
o Responds to office/department inquiries by phone, email and walk in
o Assists with scheduling and general clerical support of the special education
department

Education and Experience:

Education: Equivalent to high school graduation.
Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in office and or/secretarial
experience; experience in a school district is desirable.
