Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for referred services.
- Maintain accurate records of referrals, including tracking status and follow-ups.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding referral processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Utilize medical coding knowledge (ICD-10) to assist in the referral process.
- Collaborate with office staff in a medical setting to streamline referral workflows.
- Address any issues or concerns related to referrals promptly and professionally.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in insurance verification processes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10).
- 1-2 years working in a managed care environment is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
