The Maintenance Director is one of the most important roles on the leadership team at Morey's Piers. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and interacts with everyone from top executives to vendor partners to lifelong customers on a regular basis. The role as complete responsibility for the maintenance of all facets of this premiere destination, including maintenance leadership and management of all the company's maintenance departments - all facilities, rides, waterparks, games, food & beverage, and housing.
Critical to this position is setting an example of collaborative, engaging, skilled and positive leadership for the department as well as across the entire organization. Our key requirements include :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar is highly preferred.
- 5 years of experience leading a large maintenance department in a similar organization or large plant or complex operating environment where facility maintenance is at the core of the business or operating unit.
- 10 years leading a team beyond early career years as individual contributor; fewer years may be ok if in exceptional and complex maintenance environments.
- Must have a hospitality mindset have a collaborative, engaging and team-oriented style - no silos, no egos and service-minded.
