Line Cook/ Prep Cook:
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing all food according to internal recipes and setting up other necessary kitchen and prep supplies. Additional duties include but are not limited to: following kitchen safety guidelines, communicating to all kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Line Cooks must know menu items ensuring consistent preparation resulting in desired taste and visual appeal.
Wages:
Hourly Wage: $16 – 18 per hour
Eligible for Tips: No
Bonus: Line Cooks are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $1.00 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 19; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Qualifications & Duties:
- Must be comfortable with preparing food including cleaning, cutting, and cooking.
- Must be familiar with common ingredients.
- One to two years of experience as a line or prep cook preferred.
- Must maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements.
- Ability to communicate well with staff.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast environment.
- Timeliness is required as well as adherence to grooming standards.
- Availability to work weekends, especially during the summer season.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, or stretch for long periods of time.
- Ability to take and follow directions from the executive and/or sous chef.
