Job Summary
The Student Specialist Sr. manages the accommodation process for students, including intake processes, review of supporting information, assignment and approval of reasonable academic accommodations. This position provides guidance to faculty as they integrate academic accommodations for individual students and advises the campus community on issues related to accessibility. The Specialist Sr. assists in coordinating new student recruitment with high schools and local agencies and ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, including the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
High School Diploma / GED and four years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
