The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities
- Ability to understand the customer requirement and process needs and arrive at the appropriate lining
Design.
- Running thermal calculations for the given conditions. Making technical proposals
to customers with evaluated results
- Responsible for design, estimation and drafting in customer job projects in the company. Provides
immediate customer support (external and internal) in the areas of project drawings and technical issues.
- Select and design simple refractory/ceramic fibre shapes, simple refractory/ceramic fibre placement
arrangements and make drawings of the same, utilizing dimensional calculation, shape visualization
and orientation
- Developing detailed 3D/2D designs/models for the selected solutions confirming to the feasibility of
manufacturing and thermal performance
- Calculate basic bills of materials (BOM’s) of Ceramic fibre/Refractory/anchor materials used in
process equipment. Make part drawings and production drawings of Ceramic fibre/Refractory/anchors
- Understand geometrics and conceptualisation of shapes and views to calculate surface area/volume
of process equipment
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment, industrial manufacturing process and equipment unique
to refractories field
- Collecting, processing and sending engineered refractory arrangement drawings to customers,
sales and others per document control procedures
- Does limited structural, and mechanical arrangements and develops drawings of the same
- Knowledge Management/Documentation: Streamline the process Knowledge management by documenting all the relevant data in systematic manner and retrieving old documents for reference
- Ability to provide cost effective designs with alternates
- Site visits on need based to be done to clarify the application team/customer and approval of drawings
from external customers/consultants.

- 8 years of experience in Refractory field and 5 years of Design engineering experience
- Experience in Ceramic fibre field will be added advantage
- CAD Proficiency: AutoCAD, Inventor
- Excellent written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point
- Co-ordination with various agencies, 30% travel minimum.
- Keen eye for getting in to details
