Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Working Leader will plan and direct the work of a team or crew performing shipping and warehouse operations. This position will coordinate with Warehouse Manager on daily plans and assist with the directive of the work disseminated to the warehouse associates.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform all warehouse jobs including- Receiving, Stocking, Put-a-ways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, load/unload trucks and overall shipping functions.
- Contributes to inventory quality and accuracy cycle count program.
- Contributes to physical inventory process and cycle counts.
- Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.
- Train new warehouse personnel, observes team member performance and assists in feedback discussions.
- Process inbound receiving of containers or full trucks, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.
- Use forklift and other material handling equipment to move stock and load trucks.
- Ensure warehouse associates maintain warehouse areas and trucks in a clean and orderly state.
- Ability to receive instructions from Warehouse Manager and fully address any concerns as they arise.
- Be able to identify product by size, type, and style or product code.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Comply with Company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- GED/High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years of experience in leadership role.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge and training of safety procedures
- Demonstrate strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
- Product knowledge or the ability to identify material discrepancies
- Knowledge in DSI capabilities
- Ability to identify inventory control measure and maintain location accuracies within warehouse.
- Work collectively with other Lead team members.
- Ability to adjust work hours accordingly with work requirements
- Ability to obtain a powered industrial truck certification.
SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION
The typical schedule for this position is a day shift 8-hour schedule. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed.

- This position will work primarily on the production floor.
- The noise level in the work environment may reach above 85 decibels when on the production floor.
- During summer months, employee may have to work in temperatures as high as 110 degrees for prolonged periods of time.
- The employee constantly works near rotating equipment, mechanical parts, and lift trucks.
- Required to wear steel toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs in the manufacturing area.
- Respirators may be required in specific areas of the plant.
