What are the responsibilities and job description for the Smog Technician position at Morgan Attwood & Son Inc?
Responsibilities:
Perform smogs on guest vehicles
Perform oil changes on guest vehicles
Inspecting oil, cabin, air filters, and vehicle fluid levels and replaces or replenishes as necessary
Check tire pressure and add air, as needed
Rotate tires and inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
Performs a thorough check of guests vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to service consultant
Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet
Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment
Assists the service department as needed
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Maintains assigned workspace organized and clean
Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in the automotive field
Smog Tech: Must have state required Test & Repair Smog Certificate.
Used Car Tech: Looking for a technician that can work on all makes and models.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions
Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Must have Valid California Driver License and Clean Driving Record
Must have a great attitude and be willing to constantly learn
Must be customer focused and constantly provide a high level of service
