OVERVIEW:
The Estimator is responsible for generating the gross sales of the company’s business. Our ideal candidate must have complete knowledge of estimating and the claims process. They must also possess excellent negotiating, sales and communication skills. The Estimator must possess a positive attitude with customers and employees and portray a professional business image.
This position involves a great deal of contact with the public. For this reason, our ideal candidate is friendly, accommodating, cheerful, well groomed, and helpful. These qualities are essential to achieve an acceptable closing ratio and customer satisfaction index (CSI).
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Providing excellent Customer Service.
- Greeting customers, maintaining a conversation and educating all customers about the claim and repair process when they come in for an estimate.
- Speak to and offer assistance to anyone waiting in the office (i.e. coffee, soft drinks).
- Managing and maintaining all DRP’s, including following up with prospective DRP relationships.
- Writing estimate of damage ensuring estimates is written to company standards.
- Reviewing and explaining estimates with customer, providing the customer with a copy of the estimate.
- Obtaining repair authorization, as needed.
- Timely negotiation of repair costs with Insurance Appraisers.
- Managing all supplements and re-inspections throughout the repair process, documenting with images, this includes the taking of images and storing of images.
- The following up and documentation of supplement items reported by technicians.
- The adding in of correct labor charges to RO at the moment of authorization.
- The coordination of notifying the parts department of supplement parts that needs to be ordered.
