MBC is seeking an intern to support the Decision-making And Readiness Tool (DART) and other AI/machine learning opportunities supporting the US military. You'll have the opportunity to continuously learn and apply the latest innovations and best practices in machine learning for several projects in our pipeline. This is a paid internship. The internship is anticipated to begin in January 2025 and is expected to continue through May 31, 2025. The internship period may be extended based on mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Train our model by loading accurate data into the application
- Conduct research and analysis to improve algorithms and models
- Collaborate with various team members to gather and “clean” data for training models
- Test and evaluate the performance of the machine learning models
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients
Qualifications:
- Computer science or similar major with interest in/exposure to AI/machine learning
- Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Strong attention to detail and accurate keyboarding skills
- The ability to provide support remotely or onsite at MBC Headquarters
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid
Compensation Policy:
Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer. Factors include the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's qualifications, and the contractual terms of the program.
