Senior Accounting Consultant- US Army

We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to join our team supporting the U.S. Army in Arlington, or Tysons, VA

What you’ll do:

Provide overall Federal financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with account standards and US treasury reporting requirements
• Review and document assigned variances to ascertain accounting events
• Compare reconciling items reported in accounting records to those reported to the US treasury
• Tick mark reconciling items and document actions taken to resolve discrepancies
• Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a school accredited in the United States
• Active Secret Security clearance
• 2-3 years accounting experience with a focus on internal controls
• Strong analytical, organizational skills
• MUST possess one of the following: CPA, CGFM, CDFM, CISA, CIA, PMP or ITIL
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or client

Compensation Policy: Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer. Factors include the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's qualifications, and the contractual terms of the program.
