EMPLOYMENT SPECIFICS: Full-Time (Professional/Technical, 260 days), 1.0FTE

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

This position is responsible for providing an excellent customer service experience, including creating a warm and welcoming environment for students, staff, and other campus visitors at the MCC Student Services Welcome Center. This position provides support for the financial aid and enrollment process including but not limited to the coordination of financial aid verification paperwork, financial aid appeals and applications, admission applications, residency determination, preliminary course selection/advising, and registration of students. This position manages the imaging of financial aid records and answers incoming phone calls to the main MCC phone number and the financial aid information line. The position requires some evening, and weekend hours and occasional overnight travel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution. (Preferred in Business Administration, Management, or related field.)
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and handle student issues
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Microsoft Office, and other industry related software.
  • Ability to pass background check that includes fingerprinting.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours necessitated by semester schedules, special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week, and committee service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. (Preferred in Business Administration, Management, or related field.)
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with a document imaging system.
  • Experience with Banner software or other web-based student system

Anticipated Start Date: January 2025

Salary and Benefits:

$43,100 - $49,565, based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is one of 13 colleges comprising the Colorado Community College System (CCCS). The college has consistently been named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education in the past decade.

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.

The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
