The primary purpose of the QA/TC position is to:
· Promote and provide direction and coaching to Social Services Workers and Unit Support Workers in all types of child welfare and APS programs. Provide feedback on worker preparedness and presentation. Routinely meet with staff and accompany workers in the field and at court. Provide coaching to assure caseworker approach is child-focused, family-centered, and strength based. Interpret, clarify, and make recommendations on social service cases. Provide support and direction to on-call worker.
· Complete intake screenings and approvals, assign cases to workers and complete IV-E eligibility determinations. Assist with the review of work for accuracy, thoroughness, appropriateness and ensure staff respond to families and their unique safety concerns, risks, and protective capacities.
· Educate staff on child welfare rules and protocols and assisting on departmental policies and procedures.
Other duties include:
· Onboarding and orientation of new employees.
· Attends training sessions, unit meetings, etc. to maintain and enhance knowledge of work tasks.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in human services-related studies and a minimum 5 years of child welfare experience. Leadership experience is preferred.
