Candidate must have or be eligible for certification in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12) issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
Certification in Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P-12) and/or Special Education core academic content at the P-5 level is desired.
MCPS seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher (General Curriculum) to support students with disabilities in co-teach and/or resource settings. The teacher will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapt curriculum, and collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction, behavior management, and collaboration.
- Experience in writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs is preferred.
