What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Manager at Green Acres Elementary position at Morgan County School District Re-3?
37.5 hours a week
Monday 5.5 hours and 8 hours Tuesday-Friday.
Responsible for the daily management of kitchen activities, including ensuring that all kitchen safety and sanitation practice are being followed.
Ensuring that all staff are trained to follow proper standardized recipes to ensure the proper nutrition for our students. As well as meal times and snack times are being met.
Paperwork including production records, recording snacks served to students, ensuring that the meals that the students are receiving are reimbursable before entering them into the POS system.
Learning to navigate Infinate Campus to ensure that the meal records are accurate and true, as well as using it to do monthly deposits.
Ordering milk, bread, produce, food and supplies to ensure that the items needed to produce the proper reimburseable meals and snacks are available.
Ensuring that staff are trained in all aspects of food service and the school procedures.
Working with the Director of Nutrition Services to ensure that the kitchen is operating with the most up to date School Food Service procedures and practices.
Working with the other food service managers at other schools to share items and ideas when needed.
Making sure that if there are any maintenance issues in the kitchen or cafeteria work orders and protocols are followed to keep the area in working condition.
Working with the principal of the school to ensure that the cafeteria is running smoothly and functional for the schools needs.
Managing your team to unsure teamwork and employee morale are maintained.
Securing a substitute for employees when they are ill or are planning a vacation to unsure that your staff doesn't have to work short staffed.
Other job duties as assigned.
ServSafe Food Service Manager Certificate prefered but, will allow for training and testing to obtain.
Salary : $18 - $20
